Is how long it has taken to plant a vineyard, get an adequate harvest and actually make and bottle wine! We began planting the year following our move into our new house in 2018. Usually it takes 3-4 years before harvesting grapes. Some replanting was needed. Has been a learning adventure. Learning to grow grapes, make wine, and get an agribusiness off the ground has been quite the undertaking, and will be our retirement “side hustle,” so to speak.
